About
Bernie is predominantly a real estate transaction attorney, performing over 800 settlements per year relating to acquisitions, sales, and leasing, in addition to providing title insurance. He also represents a number of municipalities, private developers, and businesses. He has over thirty years of experience in land use, planning, zoning, subdivision and land development ordinances, estate planning (wills, powers of attorney, and trusts), estate administration/settling decedent’s estates, corporate law, and more.

After graduating from Mount St. Mary’s College, Bernie entered the U.S. Army, where he served as a captain until he sustained an injury and was discharged. During law school, Bernie worked for multiple professors in Richland, SC, as a teaching assistant. After completing law school, Bernie joined the firm of Hartman & Yannetti in 1990 as an associate. In 1996, he became a partner.

In 1992 Bernie became a part-time Assistant District Attorney with the District Attorney’s Office in Adams County, Pennsylvania and still serves in that capacity today.

Upon Attorney Gary Hartman’s retirement, Bernie became the sole owner of Hartman & Yannetti, Inc.
